About Suzanne Udell Levinger
Imaginative since her childhood, Suzanne Udell Levinger creates her artwork using oil and watercolor paints and colored pencils. As a teenager she attended The Art Students League of New York City and then attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Art and Design and Social Work. She continued studying and as well as teaching art in a variety of settings and locations in Israel where she lived for six years. Upon her return to the United States she joined her family in south Florida where she has continued to create her largely non-objective and color filled images. She has a confident eye for design and movement that translates into organic and sensual images. In addition to exhibiting in Arti Gras, Jupiter, FL and the Lighthouse Center for the Arts, Tequesta, Fl her art is held in private collections in Hawaii and Rhode Island. She provided the cover art for a collection of poetry \"Kisses in the Wind\" by Jim Morton published in 2002.
The complex patterns and mysterious images I create come from visions in my mind that start from something as simple as a mark on paper or lines I see on the surface of the canvas. I feel our minds revel in a journey to places we do not get to go to in our daily lives.
